In celebration of the new year, one of my orchids bloomed this morning! It is the special hybrid plant I bought at an orchid show last year because it was so striking: brown and green leopard spot leaves with a purple and white "tongue." This is the first time I've gotten it to bloom at home. This photo really doesn't do it justice, but it gives you an idea.
